What's Cracking SWOLEdiers?!
Big ups to those of you that took my advice and
picked up your copy of my boys book on dealing
with shoulder pain...
I don't promote many other products, but the ones I
do are ones I trust and see value in!
Now, speaking of other peoples programs, there is a
nutritional program out right now that's been getting a
lot of attention lately called "Carb Backloading"...
It hails itself as a new age approach to burning fat...
Someone asked me over on my YouTube Channel
what I thought about it and whether or not it would
be good for meatheads and athletes like us...
To be quite honest, I think it's a unique and healthier
twist to the old bodybuilding trick of putting yourself
into a state of Ketosis for the sake of fat burning...
First let me tell you little something about Ketosis...
Prolonged states of it lead to Ketone Breath (your
breath smells like fermented ball sack), smelly piss, and
Renal Failure (kidney's shut down)..NOT worth it!!!
So although the fact that you burn fat faster when you
are in it is attractive...the side effects make it about as
alluring as a poop flavored popsicle!
Instead of prolonging the state of Ketosis like bodybuilders
do, Carb Backloading will get you to carb load in order to
replenish glycogen stores in the muscle and liver...
These stores are what will act as your future fuel for
getting your SWOLE on...
The only problem with that is this...given the intense lifting
and exercise our body is put through, we need a fuel source
that is produced FAST and efficient...
The glycogen from our muscles and liver is NOT as fast to
yield us that fuel as it is when we are carbed up before hand...
Our body has to go through one more metabolic process to
give us the fuel needed to lift a big weight instead of using a
fuel source that is IMMEDIATELY available...
Easiest way to think of it is like this...Would you fuel up
racecar before the race...or after the race???
Carb Backloading is NOT for guys like us that want to be able
to match our ripped athletic physiques with the ability to DOMINATE
any athletic competition...

If you want to look good AND be able to kick someones ass,
you're going to need a more scientific approach that helps
manipulate your bodies naturally produced anabolic hormones...

P.S. I don't feel like Carb backloading is a gimmick, but I
certainly don't feel like its got the staying power that this
science based approach to performance nutrition does...
