Muscle Crippling Bench Press Mistake
Published: Sat, 09/21/13
Everyone knows that the
bench is one of those special
lifts that add strength, size,
and explosiveness.
And if you're like me and love the
bench press, but are having a
hell of a time trying to add to
your max and build muscle,
I want you to listen up closely...
There's a big mistake I see almost
every hard-gainer making that's
killing their gains!
The worst part is they've been told
by a bunch of knuckleheads in the
gym, and in a lot of magazines even,
that this mistake is the RIGHT way...
So what's this big mistake? And why
does it have such a crippling effect on
your max outs and muscle building?
It's initiating the bench with your chest
only instead of engaging your delta, triceps,
and upper back as well...
See the old school thought was that if
you lay flat on the bench and had your
elbows flared out, you could get a better
range of motion and better isolate your
chest...
Not only is this not true, it's straight up
demolishing the gains that so many hard-
gainers should be getting.
This is what you need to do instead:
Pull your traps in tight and dig them into
the bench, then push your chest up as high
as you can.
Then tuck your elbows in and squeeze the
life out of the bar.
What this does is a few things that has helped
hard-gainers crush plateaus.
1) It allows you to recruit far more muscle
fibers (more fibers recruited = more growth)
2) It allows you to lift a ton of weight which
will spike your anabolic hormone levels (and
thus get you JACKED)
3) It keeps you from ripping your shoulders
apart and needing surgery (trust me, I deal
with countless guys that have killed their
shoulders because of this mistake)
Seriously, do this next time you get under
the bar and you're going to be shocked with
how much better you feel.
These guys did and they are damn glad
they did:

"Been gettin' Jacked with your program
bro! I was able to put back all of the weight
I lost during the football season plus an extra
10 lbs. My bench is bigger and more explosive
than ever. I just hit 315 lbs for the first time.
That's a 25 lb. increase!!!"
